When chidlren play,

I think you mean "WHEN CHILDREN PLAY" something in which you specialise.

PS Perhaps you should spellcheck your work as well. SPECIALIZE!

Everyone should now start to stick to the topic. The NDCA and the WDC relationship. Not on the wonderful USA dancers dragged unfortunately, and probably we suspect unwillingly into the subject .

Folks born in another country but  accepting USA invitation to live in America consider themselves to be  Americans.

Kat213 understands it, I understand it,  you label them  Italians and Lithuanians. It was you making political comments about the American president,  pardon us if we misunderstand your good intentions.

As for your DIVAS  example,  when you visit a proctologist and he request that you present him the  area of his specialization,  so he can take a peek....  that  may sound crude but to the point.  But if he calls you by the name of  area of his specialization, while politely  requesting to please  turn  & bend over,  that would change the meaning considerably.

Referring to the World's top male international standard  professional  dancers as DIVAS does not sound as a praise to me, and I agree with Kat 213's   sentiment.

The author should have presented the letter as a grievance to WDC  directly ,  and the names of the wonderful dancers should have not been included.   I feel it served no purpose,  on the contrary,  these dancers have distinguished themselves, were awarded by non-USA judges,  and do not need USA judges.  I believe it is the USA judges who wish very much to be invited to judge the World's and they should get together and make a grievance to WDC  as " Grievance  from USA Top ballroom Judges to WDC ."

Your  suggestion ( hypothesis)  of a future  conspiracy and unfair cooperation between   USA and Lithuanian judges,  or unfairly favouring unnamed  dancers,   is not only  uncalled for, but  unacceptable,   and an insult  not only to the dancers in question, but to WDC which prides itself  for having as members experienced, World quality, top and fair  adjudicators,  the area  where other associations may lack behind.

The World Dance Council announces a new initiative for the benefit of registered active competitors in the USA

Posted yesterday, 09:11 by Bozenka
Read:

We have received the following correspondence from Donnie Burns, MBE:

Following rumour of correspondence from US competitors to the WDC, the WDC took extensive steps and implemented thorough enquiries. In fact , no formal correspondence has yet been made.

We have, however been advised that an alleged 'open letter' was recently published in a US dance publication called "Dance Bleat".

The letter was apparently from top professional dancers in the United States and criticized the WDC for not selecting US judges in recent years to officiate on World Championship panels. The letter claims that the WDC’s actions are malevolent (sic; evil and ill contrived).

Although the WDC has never formally received this letter, we are taking it at face value.

The WDC has been responsible for running the World Professional Championships for 57 years. Today we have over 60 member countries and each of them has an equal vote in our democratic charter. Our list of Professional World Champions is a “who’s, who” of the dance business and we (WDC) are, first and foremost, an organization that represents Professional dancers, dance teachers and dance studios.

We pride ourselves in offering Professional dancers a fair, unbiased and ethical arena for them to perform their artistry and we offer Professional competitors the most lucrative opportunities in the dance world; (the WDC Asian tour alone provides a cash prize purse in excess of $1,000,000).

Hence, we are acutely aware that our titles and our dancers are the Dance world’s finest asset and we are determined to protect them. Our dancers are our priority

By the action of publishing the ‘open letter’ - the couples have chosen to reach out to us directly; rather than communicate through their current member body - the NDCA. Whatever the reasons, this is their choice and we respect it. Moreover, we will honour it.

In response we are inviting all currently registered and currently active WDC competitors to meet directly with representatives of the WDC Presidium and the Chairman of the Competitors Commission - Paul Richardson (coincidentally a US resident) at this year’s US National Championships, the USDSC in Orlando; (a WDC World Series ranking event). The meeting will be closed to these persons only and will therefore be an atmosphere conducive to the competitors feeling comfortable and free from any intimidation or bullying. The WDC Presidium will include Mr. Jack Rothweiler , Vice President of the WDC and President of Fred Astaire’s USA and Mr. Martin Chiang, organizer of the US National Championships and honorary advisor to the WDC Presidium. The exact time and location will be clearly posted at the event.

We look forward to seeing you all in Orlando.

The WDC Presidium

I have the very uncomfortable feeling  that again dancers are becoming the ammunition-

I just wish to place on record that the President and 1st Vice President of  NDCA did not have the courtesy to acknowledge my mail.  At primary school pupils are taught that this is both polite and intelligent-.  . In the absence of their reply I can only assume they feel ashamed.

Before the silly games begin by the member with 30 and ever growing list of of names joins in let me say  NO I a m not joining the forum to play their games just drawing attention to the "News items" at dancesportinfo.net

I loved the "dancebleat".  Was it a typo or intended?

Barry  had  informed us :  "This was my last posting. Good wishes to the very few more serious contributors.

I sincerely apologise to all genuine members that they have had to read this and I can only hope that you will understand.  "

Then  Barry returned with :

" Comment added 11.30 BST  'Since my last post I have shed tears I admit.  Thank you Members and Goodbye.  "

OK, OK ,   Goodbye ,  PLEASE,   make up your mind.    How many Goodbyes  must all 30 + contributors  endure ?

OK ,  we   have taken into a consideration  you feel that you  were again ignored,  feeling  hurt  and misunderstood by   all of us and also by   the others them.   Do you not see the trend ?

Barry  is right ,  everybody else is wrong .  Why don't you send more  private mail blacklisting  regular contributors ?

Who had predicted  you would be back ?  No surprise ,  those who break their  word once,  keep breaking it again and again,  they cannot be trusted and believed,  their promises mean nothing,  they dig their own hole,  they feel misunderstood and ignored, they hang themselves  when you  give them enough time and enough rope.

If you no longer tearful, and feel you must.....come back , but please,  do not  attack  and point out our spelling mistakes, something you disliked when others do.

Of course it was a tipo, Barry . Welcome back

Back to the thread:  Of course the association may ignore an individual writer.  The strength is in numbers and in the unity.  Something  dancers lack.  Polkadancer, bless her heart, had posted that many joined water drops can result in a mighty flood.

When the attempt is made to join the drops, immediately we find the righteous few  who would do anything to break drops apart, including sending damaging  private e-mails,  building up on hypothetical ideas,  in the hope of deterring posters from contributing,

By the way,  did I say, welcome back  ?

I wonder just what part of my words the split  personality psycopath did not understand before composing their latest anti social rancorous and off topic post.   No comment at all on the WDC initiative or the USAs top Professional couples going public.

How long before under one of their many other names they pop up to give support and backing to themselves?

I do not know for certain, but am led to believe that the couples did NOT sign the letter nor even see the last sentence. Anyone know if this is true? If so, it appears to be a blatant abuse of the couples by the true author, Kimmins, by coincidence founder member of whatever other organization it is called, to misleadingly suck everyone in -who knows- maybe for propaganda purposes?

Does anyone know the truth here?

Anyway, Donnie BUrns seems to have taken the challenge and we will, I suppose, know a lot more after Orlando.

When is that?

Welcome AGAIN back  Barry.

Are you under the impression I cannot hold our polite and civilized conversation without help from 30+ imaginative supporters.  You are such a sorry case.

If no intelligent comments comes to your mind you  show what a classy person you  are.

Why don't you stop whining  and admit  this is an addictive and a good forum a where you just have to be again, again and again.

We,  all 30 + and growing ( LOL)  are encouraging you  to  pull your socks up and debate  instead of insulting all  contributors.

See you back soon, in fact  I can help you with some healing,  perhaps you should consider using same medicine you recommended in another " kind" priv mail to me.

Cheer up,  life is short,  don't make yourself miserable,  30 +  don't care,  you are just loosing respect of the readers.
